Our 2025 Competition Rules:
- This competition is only open to paying members of Sutton Writers. If you wish to enter and are not a member, please become a member first. See Membership Fees | Sutton Writers
- Entries must be complete and original works written by the author.
- Entries must have a title. This is to be printed before the work and in bold print.
- Entries must be typed in double-line spacing.
- The author’s name must be printed at the end of the work and in bold print.
- The maximum word count must be adhered to. This is 1200 words for a piece of prose or 40 lines for a poetry submission.
- The closing date will be adhered to. This is 4th December 2025.
- Entries must be submitted by email to suttonwriters@yahoo.com under the heading Christmas Ghost Story 2025.
- The judge’s decision will be final.
- Feedback cannot be given on all entries. The judge may choose to offer feedback on the winning and runner-up entries.
- Copyright for each work remains with the author.
