Congratulations to Jo Fox whose poem Seasons of Peace was performed by Jack Hurst and a choir of over fifty singers at this special concert in Putney last Tuesday (28th April 2026). We love success at Sutton Writers and Jo’s collaboration with Jack shows how literature can combine with other media to present an artistic message for all.
Jo’s poem and Jack’s music reflects on peace not as a fixed state but as something which evolves over time. Through the lyrical, gently unfolding harmonies, the music mirrors the changing emotional landscape of Jo’s text, drawing both on traditonal choral textures and contemporary harmonic colours, inviting performers and listeners alike to reflect on the shared human experience of peace.
