You are cordially invited to join us at the Sutton Writers’ Christmas Party.
Who? All members of Sutton Writers and a ‘plus one’. New writers are also very welcome to come along.
What? A pub-style Christmas quiz in teams with some literary rounds followed by performances of humorous poems, seasonal flash fiction, sketches etc. written by members.
Where? In the Thomas Wall Community Lounge at 64 Robin Hood Lane, SM1 2RG.
When? On Tuesday 10 December from 8-10pm
Why come along? Well why not? It will be a great opportunity to chat to other writers.
Soft drinks, nibbles and Christmas cheer will be provided. We will also supply some cheese and biscuits etc. but if you fancy a glass of wine to go with these, please bring your own! Any additional contributions to the festive fare would also be welcome.
We would also like one or two more members to come forward to perform in a five-minute slot. If you haven’t already been asked to participate, please don’t be shy. Please let us know via the website.
I am a new member who would like to attend tomorrow. I can bring a humorous very short poem (kalligram in the form of a sonnet called ‘Turkish Delights.’ if you would like. If you would like me to read it, please email me on [redacted]. Thank you
